NDI: Ghanian Members of Parliament Attend Parliamentary Oversight Program

NDI hosted 10 Ghanian Members of Parliament from September 18th-28th, 2023, in Washington, DC, and Boston, Massachusetts, for a program entitled, Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight to Improve Government Accountability and Transparency. The ten-day study mission included meetings with relevant stakeholders on supporting efficient and transparent governance structures and functional oversight of the executive. Specifically, the program facilitated peer experience-sharing and fostered dialogue among experts around using watchdog groups, government agencies, and parliamentary roles to promote responsive governance. The delegation represented both the ruling and the opposition party and included the Deputy Majority Leader.
