NDI: “Politics and Technology in the 21 st Century"

NDI brought 10 members of parliament (MPs) from the legislatures of Albania, Georgia, Kosovo, Serbia and Ukraine to participate in a parliamentary exchange program that took place in Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Silicon Valley, CA. The program focused on “Politics and Technology in the 21 st Century,” and provided opportunities for the delegation to explore ideas and innovative ways to use technology and social media in politics and governance, to strengthen civic engagement, and to address the issue of fake news and disinformation—a proliferating global challenge that is of particular concern in the Western Balkans and Eurasia, given a Russian interests in the region.
