Ms. Jean Alia Robles

Jean is currently the chief of the public affairs office at the Philippine Military Academy. In this capacity, she advises the academy’s superintendent with respect to media relations and the dissemination of public information. She also serves as the Academy’s spokesperson and instructs cadets on concepts such as, multinational operations and geopolitical issues. Jean has served in several other capacities at the Academy and in the Armed Forces of the Philippines for the past 13 years.

Jean’s project is to develop a non-government, non-partisan organization that will encourage responsible and informative voting and promote public accountability. Additionally, Jean wants more people, particularly from the middle class, to participate in the voting process and plans to use a social media campaign in the Philippines as part of her efforts.

Jean has her bachelor’s degree in army studies from the Philippine Military Academy, a master’s degree in public administration from Curtin University of Technology in Australia, and a second master’s degree in peace education from the University for Peace in Costa Rica.
