Ms. Chavalida Piromwongse

Chavalida is a public prosecutor for the Office of the Attorney General, which falls under Thailand’s Ministry of Justice. In this capacity, Chavalida organizes legal trainings, along with anti-domestic violence workshops for police cadets. She has also launched projects aimed at assisting young offenders in contact with the justice system. Chavalida was previously a legal officer at the Department of Bankruptcy Litigation in the Office of the Attorney General and at the Thai Ministry of Finance.
Chava
lida’s project aims at integrating resources from various sectors to launch a program, in partnership with local municipalities, that would prevent and respond to increased incidents of domestic violence towards women and children.

Chavalida received her bachelor’s in law from Chulalongkorn University. She also received a law degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Aberdeen and a second law degree in international trade from the University of Essex.
