Mr. Gema Satria Sedyadi

Gema has been a junior researcher with the Smeru Research Institute since the beginning of 2015. He assists with the implementation of research on poverty and rural development and also serves as the regional survey coordinator. Prior to joining the institute, Gema was a research assistant for the West Java Provincial government.

For his project, Gema intends to conduct a case study about how officials in different Indonesian regions and villages manage their finances, including financial resources they receive from the national government. The data from the study will be provided to different government ministries, in the hopes that they can assist local communities in maximizing their finances with development projects.

Gema received both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
